Hon. Doug Lewis, F.C.A., LLB, QC
Michael Donaghy, CEO & President:
A solid background in Sales and Customer Service acquired over 18 years has helped Michael to industriously create diverse businesses by turning his visionary ideals into reality. His investment of time and energy in pioneering the business of Internet Website Development has put Oxford Investments Holdings in an enviable position today.
Deploying his innate entrepreneurial spirit to become the owner/operator of the first company to sell wireless alarm systems, he then reinvigorated an ailing health club franchise throughout Ontario, and also established a successful international export business. Looking toward the future, he accurately imagined the explosive potential of the World Wide Web to expand sales and distribution.
Starting one of the first Internet Service Providers in North America in 1996, he centered his attentions on the emerging global market place. Soon after, it became apparent that demand was increasing for the development, hosting and marketing of corporate websites and Michael followed up by becoming expert in their design. Once established as a Site Designer, he used his well-honed Internet Sales and Marketing skills to delve into the potential of the cyber gaming sector of the Internet, and in 1999 he formed, and was the initial President of CyberGaming Inc. conducting the business of Internet Sub-Licensing, as well as website creation and hosting.
Through CyberGaming Inc. Michael successfully negotiated and secured more than 20 Internet Casino Licenses. In conjunction with the Government of Antigua, in the Caribbean, he acquired gaming licenses and implemented secure server solutions. Michael then assembled a capable development and marketing team to take advantage of the lucrative "resale" aspect of the Internet Gaming Industry.
In September 2000, Michael resigned from CyberGaming Inc. the public company, in order to head up the privately owned International Software Company, operated by its officers and employees. In order to make the transition as seamless as possible, as well as to carry on the tradition of excellence, he brought with him his carefully assembled team of experts.
Now, with everything in place, Michael is able to assure present and potential clients that his years of experience and leadership will come to the fore in continuing the skillful development of Internet websites supported by the innovative and proven marketing programs created by Oxford Investments Holdings. Acting upon his visions, Michael Donaghy is rapidly bringing the future to his clients today, while providing them with a better-than-average opportunity for financial gain.
Hon. Doug Lewis, F.C.A., LLB, QC:
Having Doug as a member of the Oxford Investments Holdings team has been a welcome addition since his arrival from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at CyberGaming Inc. He imports a valuable "Insider's view" of the rapidly developing e-gaming industry, having previously garnered impressive laurels during a prestigious political career as a Member of Parliament where he also served his country in Cabinet as Minister of Transportation, Minister of Justice and Minister of State. Doug's diligence in these positions earned him appointment as Attorney General and Solicitor General of Canada as well as Government House Leader.
While Deputy Leader of the House of Commons Doug was directly responsible for passage of the North America Free Trade Act legislation. In his capacity as Minister of Transportation, he introduced the concept of "Open Skies" between Canada and the U.S.A. Since returning to the private sector in 1993, Doug had lent his considerable business acumen to a number of ventures, parlaying his considerable experience in law and accounting with his intimate knowledge of working effectively with all levels of government.
In spite of not actively practicing law for some time, Doug has kept abreast of changes in the industry as well as developments in the new area of Internet Legalities, serving as an informal "In-house Counsel" for various firms. He has also accepted a directorship and/or officer status with several public companies in the fields of mining, transportation and consulting, both on the domestic scene and internationally.
Oxford Investments Holdings expects to benefit significantly in the near term from the experience and wisdom provided by Doug Lewis.
